It was consciously decided that the impression of the campers is important and not that of a single person, such as an inspector. Every camper has his own taste and his own things that are important to him during his stay. The point of camping.info is that campers find a campsite where they feel comfortable and which suits them - whether it is a so-called classified 5-star site with many activity options or a simple, quiet site without animation or leisure activities.

In addition, campers can upload their own pictures and videos of the site. With the help of over 222,000 photos and 3,200 videos, a particularly realistic impression of the campsites can be gained.

**All European campsites are listed on camping.info, as long as they are commercially (entrepreneurially) managed and are not merely parking lots. **

The basic entry is completely free of charge. Meanwhile you can find more than 23,000 campsites from 44 countries on camping.info.

If no campsites are displayed on the map or in the results list, you should delete some filters or adjust them differently.

Another reason may be that there are no campsites in the area where you are looking on the map. However, this is a rare case, since camping.info lists over 23,000 campsites throughout Europe. If you zoom out of the map, you will see campsites again.

**Campsites marked as sponsored have purchased a product from us to increase their visibility on our portal, making it easier for campers to find them. **

However, in any case, only sponsored campsites that match your search criteria will be displayed in the search result. Thus, when searching under Baltic Sea, no campsites in South Tyrol will be displayed just because they have booked more visibility. All campsites in the result list still meet the criteria you want for your vacation.

**With the help of a whole range of different filters you can choose according to many different criteria, such as the ratings, the suitable activities, the features, the location, the recreational opportunities and many other aspects. **

Specifically, you can choose from the following criteria:

**The special feature of the campsite search and filters on camping.info: Not only the filter option for the overall rating of the sites (1 to 5 stars), but also the two criteria "Suitable for" and "Activities" are based on the reviews of campers who have already visited the site. **

The information thus also comes from real guest recommendations and not from the information provided by the campsite operator - which makes the campsite search particularly authentic and targeted.

**camping.info offers the right way for everyone to find the perfect campsite. For example, via the map you can easily search for your target region or preferred destination. The more you zoom in the map, the smaller the section becomes and the more refined your search request becomes. **

For the listed places at your desired destination, the average rating displayed directly helps you to get a first impression. A refinement of the results can be additionally set by the filters on the right side. This way, only campsites that meet the filter criteria are displayed on the map or in the search bar. The same applies via the campsite search in the list view.

If campsites are clicked on the map, you will get to the campsite detail page with all photos, videos, site information and camper ratings. Furthermore, LIVE availabilities can be displayed to find still free campsites. Simply enter the desired travel period and book a free pitch directly online at camping.info.

You can cancel your booking directly with the campsite. You will find the relevant contact details on your booking confirmation.

The reason why: According to our AGB a contract between campers and the campsite comes into effect with the booking, therefore the respective campsite is responsible for changes and cancellations of a booking. Thank you for your understanding.

If your impression of the campsite has changed or if you simply want to give a new rating for each annual camping vacation, this is also possible on camping.info.

In our portal you have the possibility to rate campsites you visit once a year and at the same time help other campers to choose their next destination. Already submitted ratings as well as photos and videos can be viewed in your camper profile on the web or in the app. Ratings that have already been submitted cannot be changed afterwards.

If you want your rating, uploaded pictures or videos to be deleted or deactivated, please write us via contact. Don't forget to include your username, email address and the campsite you rated in the email.

In the future you will be able to do this yourself in your camper profile - give us some time here.

If you want to upload photos or videos of a campsite, click on the detail page of the respective campsite and scroll to the displayed ratings. Under the overall rating, you can select "Upload Videos" or "Upload Pictures" to upload the respective media.

Note: You can upload images in the following formats: JPG, PNG, GIF. The maximum size is 8 MB and the images should have a minimum size of 1140x1140 px. You can upload content of maximum 50 MB. For the videos you can either add a YouTube link or upload your own video directly from your cell phone or laptop. Then you give the video a title and optimally you add a description of the video.

When uploading pictures and videos you have to agree to our terms of use and guidelines.

Please note that pictures and videos will only be published if the email address has been confirmed beforehand. After creating your camper profile you received an email from us, where you can confirm your email address.

If you have uploaded pictures/videos and your e-mail address is not yet verified, you will receive an e-mail confirming the upload of the pictures/videos and thus confirming your e-mail address at the same time.

Please check if you have verified the email address of your camper profile. Also, please check your SPAM folder again to see if our email ended up there.

If you have verified your email address, your pictures/videos/reviews will be visible automatically after a short time.

In a few cases pictures/videos/reviews have been deactivated by camping.info because they may have violated the guidelines. If you suspect that this is the case, please contact us.

No, the ratings cannot be changed by the campsite.

There will only be editorial intervention if comments or vacation pictures of campers violate the guidelines.

To rate a campsite, simply scroll down the details page of the campsite to the ratings and give your honest opinion by clicking on "Rate campsite".

Tip: Give your rating a title so that other campers can quickly see what your basic impression of the campsite was. Be sure to mention the advantages and disadvantages of the campsite and add your comments, indicating the date of your trip. Finally you have to rate your overall impression. Now you have entered all mandatory information to help other campers quickly get a suitable impression of the campsite.

You can now refine your rating by using the slider to rate other criteria. If you don't move the bar, you don't give a rating for that part of the campsite. If the bar has been moved completely to the other side and the line is completely green, you were very satisfied with the respective point. Finally, you can indicate what the campsite is particularly suitable for. Here you just have to click on the respective tile so that it is framed in green and a green tick is visible.

Your ratings are all included in the filters in the search. So you help other campers with every single rating. At the end you can - if you like - attach your vacation pictures and videos.

With the many reviews submitted by individual campers, other guests are also helped a lot. In short, with a review on camping.info you do not only support the campsite itself, but also help other campers to find the perfect campsite for their trip.

After a camping trip you can easily upload reviews and photos of the campsites you visited or rate the campsites on camping.info. You have the possibility to rate your favorite campsite once a year.

With your free camper profile you can collect your camping vacations and your experiences with numerous functions on camping.info.

This is how it works: Simply create an account and record your very personal camping story with reviews, photos, videos and whole lot of memories.

In the profile, you can keep your personal camping story always present and remember the best moments.

With the new rating overview of visited campsites, all your vacation experiences will stay in your memory even better. Your own camper profile with personal profile picture also gives you the opportunity to save the best campsite out of over 23,000 as favorites.

The changes from the usernames to the first name and the first letter of the last name were integrated to achieve a higher trust value of the ratings among campers.

By mapping the usernames, the ratings were more often seen as untrustworthy. In the future, campers on camping.info can decide for themselves how the name should be displayed. Give us a little more time here.

As long as the changes cannot be made by yourself, just send us your username and the email address of your camper profile by mail and inform us in which form your name should be displayed.

When you are logged in to your camper profile, you can add campsites by clicking on the small heart "Save" below the price on the campsite detail page.

When the heart is filled in red, your campsite is saved to your favorites list. Saving favorite campsites works on the web and also on the go on your phone via camping app.

Yes, all campsites and also all your favorites are also displayed in the camping app. Simply log in to the app with your camper profile and view your favorites lists.

By the way: You can test our camping app incl. offline maps and live availability for free for 7 days.

To edit your entry, call up the owner login and log in with your access data. In the administration area you can store contact details, location and other information about your campsite.

In the area "Pictures" you can change the order of the pictures, upload new pictures or delete outdated pictures. The picture at the first position with the orange frame is your start picture. If you want to change this, just drag the desired image to the first position. This way you can also change the order of the following images.

Tip: The more pictures you upload and the more info you include in the individual categories, the easier it is for potential campers to decide on your place.
